Ocean Sole's fun kind recycling

Flip Flops are often seen as poor man's shoes so when they break we throw them away. There is a better way however, Ocean Sole turns abandoned flipflops into beautiful works of art.

Based in Kenya they create small and large sculptures, in 2013 they recycled about 50 tonnes of old flip-flops.

The process involves collecting cleaning and then either die cut and shaved down or placed on larger foam models and sculpted from there.
